Today Wendy and I were in Mississauga for meetings, just steps from where we had our wedding reception 41 years ago. Neither one of us can believe that 41 years have passed but then we can’t believe we are in our 60’s! How did that happen?
Our 41 years has, like many marriages, it’s good and hard days, we’ve shed tears, laughed until we cried, buried parents, raised children and welcomed grandchildren!
But what we celebrate today is each other. It’s been an adventure. We have traveled across extensively, had many opportunities to expand our horizons and enjoyed growing old together. When we were quite young, just newly married, we started using that phrase – that we would enjoy “growing old together”.
So today I celebrate Wendy, our 41 years together and a life of adventure!
