Excuse my absence from the blog…yes, there’s been scheduled posts but I have been personally absent. But after a week’s illness I am back in the saddle and feeling human again.

It’s been a long time since I have been that ill. I’ve done a lot of sleeping over the past few days. As one of my workmates commented – “it’s rare that Fred misses anything”.

I’ve been slow to say welcome to Mr. Andrew Green into our family. Andrew married my sister on May 21st. So now I have a new brother-in-law and therefore a new member of the family.

There are lots of good pictures from the wedding day but I like this capture from the video of their wedding. Here’s the moment of prayer over their rings as they exchange them – rings are referred to as a “sign of our continual devotion”.

Andrew, welcome to the family, and thank you for loving and looking after my sister! We look forward to meeting you in person one day soon.
