I often make comments about a book I am reading or a place I’ve visited but rarely make comment on a movie, though I did so on Guess Who is Coming to Dinner and Joe Black.
The other night Wendy and I enjoyed The Man Who invented Christmas. It is excellent and I really enjoyed it.
What struck me was the scene in the workhouse where the kids are put to work – this is the world that William Booth stepped into and tried to bring social change. Here’s the trailer.
