We’ve been with wonderful friends lately. They are kind, generous and welcoming. But the real attraction for us is their personal integrity and character. We trust them.

This has sat at the forefront while also within our view is the news around the ongoing relationship we have with our American friends. Once again Canada finds itself in the crosshairs of American policy. And to be fair, we should separate out our friends who are Americans and their government. They are not the same, but what can’t be denied is that 70 million Americans voted for a man who campaigned on retribution.

If it isn’t Greenland or Cuba or Venezula or Iran or Panama, it’s about Canada. How done hard by is that Not So United States of America by all these countries?!

And still we’re friends, and maybe one day, if there’s an election, we can get by this one narrow minded convict.

Because we want to keep those friendships.
