A week of pictures

it’s been a while since i have written. But I have been writing! I have wanted to write something of OUR story for the family. So I am working on it, a bit each day. I’ve written over 50 pages now and am taking great joy in reliving our days. Many of the events which have been significant drift into our memory. Doing something like this, helps revive those memories. I hope to be done by the end of the year.

Speaking of memories, it was a delight to meet up with Colonel Bill Ratcliff lately. I first met him when I was 18. He was the DYS in St. John’s and he immediately greeted me and punched me in the shoulder. When we retired, he came to work for us at Glenmore. That was 26 years ago.

And look at that full head of hair! He’s a force to be reconned with.

The garden is going well for the flowers, not so much for the vegetables. We’ve had a very cool, very wet number of months. It has been rare for me to need to water the garden.

Good weather and time that is ours, has given us the opportunity to be out with friends, have a few meals out and just enjoy ourselves. We have some good friends here and we enjoy their friendship.

In terms of our family, it was delightful to get a couple of photos. Wendy’s dad who is not well, was able to have some time away from home, Cath sent me two pictures of my Aunt Eileen now 99, with Jim having a visit with her. She seems pretty with it by all reports.

Lastly, Nugget has been given the green light by the vet – he had a little accident and was given a cone to wear and eye drops. Here he is playing with his good friend Amber! She lives next door and is growing quickly! Oh, and a picture of Phil’s toe, because if you leave your phone around he will do something silly with it.
