Cast 10 ballots

Today is the day. The residents of Alberta, citizens of Canada, are being forced into a political fight that was brought about by a few who have been airing their grievances for years. “Alberta is better off outside” of Canada is their cry! They cite their case with examples that in many cases goes back decades….especially towards Pierre Trudeau and more recently his son, Justin. Both Prime Ministers but in very different eras.

Currently though the liberal government has been working to address the need for Alberta’s industries to flourish and so the argument has lost much of it’s wind.

Yet here we are. And when the ballots are counted what will be the outcome? The ten questions, poorly worded and in some cases misleading, are centered on immigration, the constitution and the final question about the future of Alberta in Canada. For the record, I voted NO on all ten questions.

This Premier and her entourage have removed funding from cities, meddled in their policies, reduced their ability to raise in come and reduced allowances for the most needy in Alberta. Imagine reducing allowances for the disabled. That’s the spirit of this government.

Before the night is out, I hope, the results will be in.

As one of our friends said recently, I don’t think Alberta can leave Canada, but if they are I’m leaving Alberta.

So like Quebec before it, the health of the provincial economy is put at risk by those with small grievances and personal vendetas!

Come the next election you can count on our supporting a party other than the UPC.
