Camrose is about 80 km south east of Edmonton. It is the home of the Big Valley Jamboree (which we avoid) and it is a lovely small prairie town. The big box stores out by the highway don’t give the visitor the true picture of the serene nature of this lovely town.
Wendy and I love to take the drive and walk the main street. There are many really wonderful shops and now the home of TWO quilt stores.
We took Nugget along for the ride and he enjoyed meeting so many people along the sidewalk.

A lovely town but unfortunately the home of PP’s constituency office….
There were so many friendly town people who simple assumed I belonged to the town. Keith who has a farm told me about his dog that can kill a coyote. Richard, who is clearly having some survival struggles told me about the job he was about to be interviewed for, and he told me many other things which I nodded and smiled politely.
We visited the Home Hardware store that keeps treats for the dogs. Nugget loved it and again met many nice people. It was a lovely day and how nice to be able to walk in the shade of the trees in the warmth of the day. And how nice to have such a lovely town nearby.
