Is it summer now? We’ve been awaiting some warmer temperatures. While Ontario has been sweltering, we’ve been wearing sweaters…and June has indeed been “June monsoon” season. Alberta is typically dry and brown. We’ve been green and wet.
And so with a bit of warmth and sun, the daisies have decided to make their appearance. Thank the Lord for the reminder of His creation’s beauty. And thank the LORD for His mercies – they are new every morning.
Now that the rain has stopped, work on the deck has begun. I won’t get it finished this week, but all the rails and steps are done. It’s beginning to look pretty good.

Philip has suggested this will give us another five years out of this deck. Nugget has enjoyed being outside with me over these couple of days.

In other news, Wendy has become a maker of drapes as she makes some for Carlyle’s room! They will look really great when she’s done. And for those of you who sew – they are pinch pleat drapes.

For now that’s all the news!
