I have confessed before to my lack of carpentry skills. Strange that both my grandfather’s had this gift, our son Philip certainly has this skill, but my Dad and I seemed to have missed the gene. But I have enjoyed trying to do some work, trying to use power tools, trying to “get it right”.

Philip did the marking of the boards to say – replace these, and today I started the work. Now in my mind I saw no reason why this would take more than one day. Even if I started at 10 am, surely by 3 pm I would have all the bad boards out, the new ones screwed in.
I did not.
Apparently another day will be required, and I may start earlier!
The garden is really blooming now, as flowers begin to open and come to life to the curb appeal.

This evening, we drove Paige to her Ember’s outing – a visit to a seniors’ place. It looked a lot like where my Mom lives…and as we dropped her off we could see folks eating in the dinning room.
Then we headed off to DQ….
And sitting on a car in the parking lot.

Sure glad that isn’t our car!
