It’s time for an update! It’s a busy time around the community. People are out working on their gardens, and the dog walkers are more active. The grass is growing – needs cutting now – and the buds are breaking open on the trees and hedges.

We were alarmed to see an ambulance in the Villa this week – Alma is home now and we hope she’s doing better. We are awaiting the arrival of the lawn crew!
We have a new puppy coming into the community. I’m anxious to meet this guy because of the breed. Should be interesting. More to come.
The picture of Nugget on the stump was taken by our neighbour Mark. We were out for a walk and the morning temperatures were quite nice – they, Mark and Sandra, were having breakfast on their deck, and as we went by, they struck up a conversation. Mark and Sandra are lovely people who are always interested in how things are, and Mark ALWAYS has a story or two. At any rate, as we chatted, Nugget jumped up on this stump. (Said stump is to be ground down by the previously referred to grounds crew). Then Mark sent me the photo. I think it came out great!
And that brings us to this news. This week, we visited the Vet momentarily to pick up our monthly meds to protect him from worms and viruses, and Nugget weighed in at 9lb 8 oz. What??!! Wow, what a gain in weight.

And it’s time for the traditional spring photo shoot, drinking coffee in the blue chair on the deck! Yes, I was working this day…
Lastly, I finished up with CIVIDA on April 30th. It was a good experience, and they very kindly gave me a gift of a painting (print) by Brenda Claude. It really represents the work of housing people and recognizing the variety of people who need housing. I think it looks pretty good.
