Contemplation

Another poem by my friend, Merlin R. Johnston., Poems of Nature, Values and Life.

Seasons

I stood alone

Contrite

Having not seen Time

Steam upon me.

Spring had departed-

The moon was my witness,

And summer,

Magnificent in splendor,

Showed the bounty of the season.

Thus, I moved

Soberly into autunm

Considering a life well spent.

Then arrives winter

“Fiat voluntas tua”

(Thy will be done).
