Family

There’s been some new news in the family but at this point, it is not something I can write about here – or at least not yet. We’ll see.

It did send me searching through some pictures and thought I would just post a few here. But let me say this. These are some of my favourite shots and for the most part, celebrate our family!

We come from eight grandparents. Fred and Connie Eastland, Arthur and Alice Waters, Walter and Helen Kitney, and Alf and Leila Redbourne. Each of those names has many stories. The common thread for Arthur Waters and Alf Redbourne is that they both lost their wives in childbirth. I can’t imagine the sorrow associated with that.

We have so many things to be grateful for, but surely our heritage, our family, the gift of their hard work which creates our heritage is something that we often don’t consider.

Families aren’t perfect and there are many stories of joy and hardship in every family.

So be thankful for your family and work to leave a legacy for your children!

I’ve always been so thankful for such a happy childhood and such loving parents plus 47 happy years with my late husband and yes I have much to be grateful for the Lord has blessed me
