I follow Keith Moore on Twitter and he often posts pictures of the city of Edmonton from a variety of perspectives. One of the great characteristics of the city is the North Saskatchewan River which winds through the city and the significant river valley that it lays in.
I shamelessly pulled this photo from Keith Moore’s twitter account the other day because it really does reflect the city these days. The prairies are much more of a yellow hue in autumn as opposed to the Canadian Shield. Having lived in various parts of the country there are characteristics of every part of the country that I like.
Today the sky is not so clear – we’ve got smoke blowing into the city from Hudson Bay Saskatchewan which is north east of Saskatoon – so you know which way the wind is blowing.
