Here they are – my two sisters. I prayed for a brother or sister for a long time. You can see that there’s an age difference between us. Leanne to the left, is ten years younger and Catherine to the right is twelve years younger than I. This picture is from our days in Scarborough – you can see that I’m wearing my Scarborough Red Devil shirt – our floor hockey team at Scarborough Corps.
It is a bit hard to believe looking at this picture and noticing HOW YOUNG I look, that at the end of these days I went to live with my aunt and uncle and soon after out on my own. Isn’t it interesting to look back!
My sisters were always really important in my life and I often involved in whatever I was doing – from taking them tobogganing, playing ball, riding my bike (even fashioned a place for them to ride on the back on my bike by fastening a box on the rear fender! I imagine they don’t remember that and in reflecting perhaps that wasn’t the safest thing to do, but I loved being a big brother.
Our lives have certainly gone in different directions – Leanne lives in Florida and rarely comes to Canada. Catherine lives north of us and while we don’t see each other as often as I would like when we do stay in close contact and are often talking and laughing together.
I love the pictures oh what memories we have as a family lots of fun and laughter in our house especially at supper time
