Kingston ON – 1944

The video will demonstrate the fuller story, but let me add here that following Grandpa and Grandma’s appointment to Petawawa for WW2 they went to Kingston where Grandma (Nanny) was charged with running a Hostess house. Below is a picture of the building today from Google maps.

What a treat to see this great history and how our family was involved.

And there was a ‘Hostess House’ also at Niagara on the Lake and my Grandma was the cook there for some time, my sister tried to find the address at the Town Court House when she lived in NOTL but there was no record of it, I do remember sitting on the steps of that big brick house waiting to see my Grandma
