O little town of Simcoe

We were off to Simcoe on Saturday as the CSS were visiting there.  We left a bit early to stop in Hamilton for a stroll along Ottawa Street at lunch at a favourite of ours, the vegan restaurant, The Boon Burger Cafe. What a great little spot and despite the lack of meat on the menu their food is delicious.

I had looked up ahead of time if there was a quilt shop in Simcoe so once we arrived there, we stopped in. What a surprising small shop loaded up with every kind of material, books and supplies for the quilter – Wendy was delighted! The shop owner was very chatty and we had a nice visit, learned about her and her husband and the history of the shop.

The time with the CSS was great – and they sang well. There’s some videos on my You Tube channel, but I’m embeding one here for “your viewing pleasure”.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
