Coombs BC was named after the Commissioner Coombs – once the Territorial Commander of The Salvation Army in Canada. The community was a project of TSA with the local people and while you wouldn’t know that today – it still bears the identifying name.
We were here about 8 years ago on vacation and is a place we love to stop in at….today we had a chance to do just that. At nearly 15 degrees, it wasn’t hard having 30 minutes to just walk in the warm winds of February here in BC.
The grass roof is usually the home of the Coombs goats but they weren’t on the roof today. Not sure why. We did see all the wonderful things inside this unique market and enjoyed being in a place that holds so many wonderful memories for us.
