Mother’s Day Poem

As Mother mine I honour you
For all you did for me,
For tactfulness and patience, too,
For dauntless loyalty;
Yet, ’tis the things that may seem small
Which fondest thoughts impart;
“Mother” is a pedistal
But “Mom” is in my heart
I honour “Mother” as I should,
serene and wise and calm
As “Mother” you were kind and good
But my real pal was “Mom”
To Mother mine I gave my praise,
To her are thanks expressed
But all the time, through all my days,
As “Mom” I love you the best.”
