General-elect Linda Bond

Wendy and I were in The Salvation Army’s College for Officer Training from 1981 to 1983.  During those days Captain Linda Bond was on staff and taught us – I remember specifically the book of Acts.  She was an excellent teacher with strong communication skills and a commitment to excellence.  Since then she has risen to the rank of Commissioner and presently leads The Salvation Army in Australia (East Territory).

Our connections have continued down through the years and have always found her to be positive, spiritual with a continuing commitment to excellence.

She has now been elected to be The Salvation Army’s 19th General. She is the 3rd woman General and the 4th Canadian to rise to this position as our International Leader. Below is the announcement from Sunbury Court.
