There has been a strong but warm wind blowing all day…it seems more summer like than ever now that autumn has officially arrived. The farmers are at work harvesting, and the leaves are changing colour. Autumn on the prairies is quite different than in other parts of the country. We don’t have oaks or maples so the lack of sugar running in the sap of our trees gives us much more yellow and brown than the rich reds and oranges that we are so use to seeing, especially in Ontario.
