Canadians hold their breath

Well it’s election day in the USA. It’s the mid-terms so the President isn’t on the ballot, but in fact this time around, he is on the ballot as the cost of living continues to soar, and the war in Iran lingers on. Some of us to the north, would also point out, that for the first time in decades Canadians feel that the administration of the USA is hostile, ignoring trade agreements already in place and imposing illegal tarrifs while implying that “we will break Canada” is the new objective of an armed government. Excuse our reluctance to believe that we should not fear the bully to the south. We just don’t trust the leader who seems unable to tell the truth.

So today we hold our breath as the battle to control the Congress and the Senate is in the hands of the voters.

We pray that people will vote, that people will be wise in who they support, and that we might return to a peaceful and cooperative relationship with our American neighbours.
