We’re at a transition in nature again – scheduled not by the calendar but by the movement of sun and moon and sea temperatures and winds. It’s slow but not unnoticeable. We don’t have the fullness of colour that you see in the eastern parts of Canada, especially of Maples and Oaks.

I had Nugget out the other night and the garden solar lights were glowing along the side of the house. Soon I will be pulling them inside for the winter but right now they provide a wonderful glow in the dark.

The nights are getting closer to a killing frost so yesterday I cut some flowers from the garden above to bring into the kitchen for a lovely decor on the table. I could have cut much more as the flowers continue to blossom and pop such lovely colour.
