Lots of gardeners, I note in our neighbourhood, have been getting the flowers into the ground, and the forecast looked pretty good. In fact, I thought maybe we were safe…and then the forecast changed. It’s about to get cool, real cool. In fact, close to 0 overnight.
My tomato plants and pepper plants are warm inside!

Tomato varieties include: Big Momma, Big Daddy, and Arctic (heritage).
And speaking of things that have been growing. Nugget weighed in at just over 10 lbs on our last visit to the Vet. JR never got past 8.5 lbs, but Nugget may be treated a bit more… you know, fresh food, greenies, cookies, cheese and yogurt! (Yes, Amanda, JR would be offended if he knew.)
He was going with us over to see Uncle Phil for the day, and so we packed up his bag…and he wanted to help. I’m sure he wanted to check that his treat was in it, and it was.

You know if you look around on any given day, there are many signs, good signs of life. The blue sky with song birds proclaiming their song, the laughter of children at the playground, the sizzle of bacon cooking on the grill, the melodies of good songs on the radio, the lapping of waves on the shore of the lake… so many signs.
And there are signs of those who care for us. Emails, texts, phone calls, old photos, cards exchanged for special events, meals shared around a common table, prayers offered and encouraging words given.
And how many have you, could you give? Who is one person that would benefit from your reaching out?
Come on, make the call. Send the note. Be an encourager. Build a friendship.
