Fred the carpenter

Philip is a master carpenter, so I would not make any claim to be near his skills. He is the guy you call after the “friend” says he can put in your door, or your hardwood floor, or build you a deck… and you realize that your “friend” didn’t really know what they were doing.

BUT, I have completed a couple of projects, with some help and coaching from Philip, and I’m pretty proud of that. Come on, retirement!!

It was time to fix up the deck, and Philip was kind enough to rip some of his fence boards for us. With my impactor, drill, saw, and lots of screws… I was able to make the deck look much better.

Next week I will paint them and make the place look even better, but I was really pleased that I got it done and done in one day. Yahoo.

The deck boards need some attention, and that will happen, too. The gazebo will come together, the table and chairs, etc… it should look great this summer. Nugget didn’t like me being on the other side of the new gate I put up. It’s retractable.

It was a 22-degree day with lots and lots of sunshine… Thank the Lord, some good weather has arrived.
