Birds

Today at lunch time, I went out and just stood in the sunshine. The warm sunshine! Not much of a breeze, just warm sunshine with a bright blue sky! Can you see it? Can you feel it? Blue skies make the day better, even in the dead of winter! But today it’s warm enough not to have a coat on, not to need a hat, and with the snow gone, no need for boots.

It is one of those days when the warmth of the sun is felt on the back as well as the face. Ahhh!!

We have survived another winter.

Now for some tragic news…. Nugget’s duck died. The head was coming off.

Now for some good news… Nugget has a new duck.

Speaking of fowl, it’s almost time for the sandhill cranes to fly over us. They are large birds with a wing span of 6 to 7 feet. Fly in flocks of thousands and at a height of some 5000 feet. They are hard to see, they are so high up, but you can hear them, both the motion of the wings and in their song. It’s a magnificent sight to see.

All this to say, another sign of the remarkable Kingdom of God and his wonderfully creative hand!

And remember that this is the same God who made you remarkable!
