The milestone of a mortgage

It’s January 4th. After my parents retired, my Dad kept a daily diary, usually of the few things that made up their day, a visit with Mom’s sisters, or a duty at the corps, or a trip to see us – or other family members. They had rented a lovely condo in St. Catharine’s, Ontario to live in and enjoyed the layout of their two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit. But when the owner died, they were faced with the choice of buying the condo or moving. So they chose (wisely) to buy it.

In my Dad’s daily diary for that year, came this entry.

That’s 26 years ago now. It was a great decision for them, giving them stability in their housing and a good investment for the future.

I loved seeing my Dad’s note!

I am still amazed at how the Lord worked that out for us to buy the condo which has provided for me in these latter years yes it was a wise thing to do and I am so grateful to be where I am right now
