News from The Village

I’ve written much about our family, and of course, this blog is about our family. What is more important than family – and laughter?! Yes, laughter! It’s Uxbridge today and time with Cath and Terry. They live in a lovely home in this lovely village. Wendy and I spent some time at the Uxbridge Corps back in the early 1980’s. Wow, when I write it like that, it sounds like it was from the last century. Oh, it was!

What fun today as we laughed together. We discussed some of the amusing things that have happened in and out of the family. And we ate some great food – and of course, what’s a good meal without ice cream to follow!

It’s been a while since we were all together, and next year they will be coming to visit us. I sure love these kids. Okay, they are not exactily kids but being my “younger sister” I sometimes think of her as a kid. And then she talks about retirement! Oh my goodness. How could that be?

Here we are in downtown Uxbridge – international centre of commerce and industry. It is a lovely place to be and we stopped to catch this photo on the main street.
