July has been wet and cool and yesterday was a repeat. One day it is 29 C and hot and sunny while today it struggled to get to 18 and it was cloudy, rainy and windy (YECK). But that’s this year’s weather.
So to my first note on The Villa, it is a hard summer for tomatoes! Too much cloud, too much rain, too much cool. HOWEVER.... I did finally get a red one to eat and a handful of small yellow cherry variety.

The cosmos however, have exploded as well as the Shasta daisies. So the garden is doing well in some ways. All these were grown from seed starting in the ktichen in February. I find it so fascinating to watch this develop.
Nugget continues to grow. He’s getting taller, not much longer, and slowly gaining weight. We’ve made a habit now of going to the school yard each evening for a great run. He loves it and when Paige saw us she laughed out loud and joined in. She had a great laugh at the fun.

Our friends and neighbours who live in this lovely community continue to enjoy being here and I see that demonstrated in how they care for one another. We bought a new mattress and it wasn’t long before someone said to me, “I saw you got a new mattress. “Do you mind if I ask you what brand you bought?”
By the way – the delivery truck was watched by many…LOL… I really love living here. And may I say it once again. We really believe that God brought us here for such a time as this.
