Wind, wind, wind!

on

It has been at least three weeks of incredibly windy weather. We’ve had rain, sun, clouds, but on every day it has been super windy! Gusty, gusty, gusty. And having golfed now 3 times in these weeks the games have been plagued, yes plagued by the wind. Today was the Sherwood Park Rotary Golf tournament and it felt like we had the wind in our face at every hole.

Whew! Did I play well? Did any of us play well in this wind?

And while I have been out having fun – yes it was fun despite the wind – Wendy was helping Philip with the basement bathroom. Today was doing grout.

Hey is that my good t-shirt?

In the meantime, a Nugget update. Now approaching 5 months of age, he is almost ready for his first trip to the groomer. We have given him a small trim after a bath and he wasn’t crazy about the tub, and he really didn’t like us trying to trim around his face.

Hey, can you see our great garden behind him? See the poppies – the irises – the blue fern – the hostas? Unfortunately the bleeding heart, which is huge, is done with all the blooms.

I will be giving an update on the garden, but I saw this and laughed. I have too many tomato plants, but I love growing them from seed. We have several varieties: big mama, big daddy, brandywine red, multicoloured cherry tomatoes, and one arctic plant.

And to finish a nod to my sister Catherine (aka CATH, Cathi, Cathy) who was in Listowel, the location of our first appointment, the place where Jason and Philip were born, and a place that does for those reasons hold an interest for us.
