I’ve been working towards this weekend for some time, and now that it is over I have two thoughts. First, I wonder if my speaking was effective and relevant. That’s just what preachers do. We study, read, pray, write, and ask God to be in what we do, then after the fact, we wait and wonder. Second, I am reflecting on some of the good experiences and conversations, and I am thankful to God for what He has accomplished.

The weather was terrific up to Saturday evening with strong winds arriving around supper time taking down at least one tree. The food was delicious, and we had a time to golf. My partner and cartmate was Kent! He and I had a chance to talk about his impending arrival at Glenmore Temple.

I golfed relatively well, but we ran out of time and had to stop at the 15th hole to get back for supper. Green grass, warm sunshine and blue skies are always wonderful to be outside enjoying.

As part of the fun, and in an effort to raise money for partners in mission, Sheldon had these made up to win in the games and use in the bidding for the auction. I laughed so hard when I saw this! I kept one for a souvenir.
