It’s not every day that you get to wish your Mom a happy 90th birthday! But today is the day. This lovely lady is 90 years of age today.

Now normally you don’t tell the age of a woman – my Dad told me that after he spanked me for telling the world my Mom wasn’t 29….just kidding!

Mom has been a constant in my life and I often think of those first 10 years before “the girls” came along. We did everything together. It was my Mom who taught me to skate. It was my Mom who let me eat the dough when she was making cookies or raw hot dogs! Now my Mom will tell me that I am probably exaggerating – a bit.

Here’s the truth and this is no exaggeration – Mom has been a solid and consistent influence on our lives. She has been a faithful student of prayer and compassion and has shown deep care for us all.

Happy 90th birthday Mom. I wish we could take you out for dinner tonight – but we will be there to celebrate soon.
