A few folks are aware that I have been in BC, on Keat’s Island this week. Five years ago I was in Banff for our business conference when I texted Doug Ward to see if he was around because his daughter lives there. He was. In fact, he was just a block away at Starbucks.
He was putting together a group of ten men to journey through life and wondered if I was interested in joining. I was of course.
Doug has had a profound impact on me – and my thinking. He is one of those men who has the gift of disarming and encouraging. I have always enjoyed working together, having coffee, and sharing over a meal. I think everyone needs a Doug in their life!

We have used Barnabus and Applegate as our place of meeting and sleeping. Without a doubt a very special place to be! The weather at the first part of the week was great!

These kind of groups and relationships are built on trust, and five years into our journey there is a great trust built between us. The ability to be entirely honest with each other is our experience. I am so grateful for these guys!
