That car caught my eye

The other day it was a 1962 Chrysler 300, today it was a 1952 Cadillac Coupe de Ville! This was not near the condition of the Chrysler, but it reminded me of the Cadillac that my Nanny drove all those years ago – a 1955, I think. I always loved those white wall tires!

There were only just over 11,000 of these manufactured that model year and it is powered by a V8 that produces 190 HP @4000 RPM. The cost? A whopping $3500 to $4100. That’s the equivalent of $48,000 in today’s dollars.

As you can see by the photo above, I was always dressed for and ready to travel in the Caddy! Power windows, AC, leather…real leather seats…it had all the bells and whistles for it’s time.

Today’s discovery wasn’t quite as equipped, but it caught my attention as I said to Wendy… “we’re going back to see THAT car.”

Those were the days when my mom had a heavy right foot and we flew along the QEW a sweet picture to remind me of those times
