Stories through pictures

I was in Toronto recently for meetings. When we’ve been in the city one of the places that we often stop for food is Chipolte at the Don Mills Shop. It’s a favourite for lots of reasons – one being the portion is so large that one portion feeds the two of us.

It was an overcast day and I was glad to find a spot to park close to Chipolte. I noticed as I ran towards the door that it was dark and overcast and that there was an Audit convertible, top-down, parked in front of me.

On my exit there was the same car, still, top-down, but now the rain was pouring into the car. I wondered….what is going to happen when the driver returns? Do they have a towel or two in the trunk? I thought about waiting to see…but I had to go!

Are you one of those people that like to take pictures of things that entice you?

I’ve been trying to buy Hienz Tomato Soup. Wendy really likes it – and she was having dental surgery that potential might have her eating soup for a couple of days. So I went to the store to see if I could find it. I went to several stores. No Hienz soup… Hienz canned spaghetti? Yes, but not soup.

They had…

But no Hienz Tomato Soup!

I was at Canadian Tire, not looking for soup, but saw this display and it reminded me of the autumn tradition of winterizing the trailer. Always a bitter sweet moment acknowledging the summer camping season is over and remembering another great summer.

And lastly… the grandkids were with us this past weekend. We went for a walk in the woodlot nearby and they found these growing on the tree. They were fascinated by them and stopped to take a look. Carlyle remarked that they looked like a staircase for a squirrel or chipmunk.
