One year later

on

On July 1, 2021, we awoke for the very first time in our very first house. Hard to believe to some, yes I know you’ve had your own home for decades and it’s long since paid off….well not us as we’ve had housing provided for almost all our married days, but that’s another story.

All I can tell you is that when we awoke in our own home this time last year we were overwhelmed with the joy and surprise that we had been able to make this happen. I think I have said this before…so my apologies for being so repetitive. That’s what happens when you suddenly arrive at a place you thought you never could journey to.

Here we are – one year ago!

our new home

We thank the LORD. And we thank Philip and Amanda who have worked to make this a reality for us. They have welcomed us, encouraged us, rescued us, been generous to us, and in so many ways. Their joy for us and for the blessing of this house has been an additional blessing to us.

The renovations undertaken have been extensive, and you would hardly recognize the place today if you had only seen it when we first bought it. We’re getting near the end of all the changes and it is a lovely home, modern and comfortable in a quiet neighbourhood.

So we celebrate this year all that has made this our home and the joy of having Philip, Amanda and Carlyle, Fitz and Paige nearby.
