It was a Sunday school song – and it was sung to remind children that no matter who they were, what colour their skin or anything else they were precious in the sight of God.

The passage of Scripture that has always stood out for me is this:

¹⁵ One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.

¹⁶ Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. ¹⁷ I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” – Luke 18

Let me offer you another song of a more contemporary nature that speaks to us all, and reminds us that the God of Heaven and Earth, the one who put the sun and moon in place and brings life to all, that God is the one who loves you with an eternal love.

Think you are too slow, too young, too bad, too injured, too late, too early, too needy, too anything….no this God holds you and loves you.

He can be to you all you need – if you wish.
