Of course the greeting for today is May the 4th be with you. Of course almost everybody gets the reference to Star Wars.

I awoke this morning – which is becoming earlier without an alarm clock – wondering what day it was. For a moment I was thinking it was Sunday – but then the penny falls and oh, yes it’s Tuesday!

It’s been months since we’ve been able to see or be with our grandchildren or with my Mom. The weight of isolation is heavy and we’ve been working to keep ourselves busy and active. I think the largest thing we’ve done to help ourselves, and maybe you too, is getting outside. With the weather improving I am taking every opportunity to be in the garden or cutting the lawn. Even our neighbours have noted that they have seen my cutting the grass more then they are. It seems like my fertilizing has really paid off in a thick and healthy lawn.

And when we get to the new house, I suspect I won’t stop caring for the lawn and garden even though someone else will cut it each week.
