End of an era

When I began this blog in 2005 we had just bought a brand new Surveyor Hybrid travel trailer – thus the name – hybrid thoughts.

Today Philip, with Carlyle, hooked his van to the trailer and began his drive back to Edmonton. Last weekend I told him that Wendy and I were going to get rid of the trailer…next thing we knew he was on his way to get it. And we were thrilled at the idea that rather than sell it, they might get a few years out of it.

Hooking it up

I’m not sure how many years the trailer has in it, but we hope that there will be loads of fun for Phil, Amanda, Carlyle, Fitz and Paige. It’s about time that this thing had more kids in it.

Pulling out of the campground yesterday people seemed surprised that we were not going to be at the campground this summer. I think I am too. But it was just the right time to make a change in our lives.

Almost ready to head to the house

I have always dreaded not having a trailer – but what a joy to see Phil and Amanda taking it for their summers! No regrets here, just looking forward to great stories from the west!

Heading home with the “new to you” trailer

Have fun in the adventures ahead!
