British Columbia is a big province so it’s a bit misleading to say BC. We were on Vancouver Island outside of Parksville at a very lovely resort. They were kind and gracious and the food was delicious.
Dr. David Smith, I have alluded to in my last post, was again a great teacher. Though he had been quick sick coming to the retreat he did well and I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching.
We had a lot of rain, as you can tell from the pictures, but it was mild enough to be comfortable. We had the pleasure of meeting up with many folks we have known from days gone by, and from our work. What was especially nice was having time with our friends Les and Tiffany.
This is kind of a silly photo, but it captures something of our friendship. They happen to be sitting right behind us so I had to take a selfie with them in the background. We had time for supper with them a couple of times and opportunity to just hang out!
Our history is lengthy. We’ve worked together, played together, even holidayed together. Is that a word, holidayed? We have taken our travel trailers out on the road and traveled some good distances together. One of our vacations was very close to where we spent this past week.
It was a good week. I’m glad to be home though – ’cause there’s no place like home.
It looks a wonderful place, hope to visit it some day 🙂 thanks for sharing! cheers from Portugal! PedroL
