Wendy had the privilege of attending the officer’s retreat for the Bermuda division. The setting, of course, is hard to beat, especially in February. The location is wonderful sitting of the beach and with Bermuda’s pink sand it makes it refreshing. Missing the two storms that rolled through Toronto while we were away didn’t hurt either!
Bermuda is a tax haven, has 900 business registered there (at least on paper) and is very expensive to live on. So you can imagine that the poor of Bermuda are very poor! And because the government has no pension provision, the workforce has many seniors in it. People can’t afford to retire so they live multi-generationally to support each other.
