It’s beginning to look a bit like Christmas

Wendy was away last weekend so I began the process of putting out the Christmas things… not much but the one thing I love is the Inuit nativity set. This was a gift to us one year when we went to Labrador – the Big Land – as they call it.  It’s always cold there. It reminds me of Yellowknife in many ways and of course, is a long way north.

It is mind-boggling to think of the strength of character and the enormous skill it must have taken to live out on the land in these harsh climates.  The average city dweller – me included – wouldn’t last a week!

Wendy and I have an invitation to return to Goose Bay/Happy Valley in the near future. I am really looking forward to it!
