The baby Jesus in his parka

In a recent visit to Labrador City/Wabush I was given the most wonderful gift – an Inuit nativity scene with a little baby Jesus in his parka. The gift is a demonstration of great kindness, but even more it means so much because of the past two years walking through the experience of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee and seeing how a completely different culture can so capture the essence of the Gospel without the need to be westernized.

My thanks to Norm and Crystal for this gift. Wendy and I will cherish for a very long time.
