This wonderful tribute to UK troops who gave their lives during World War I counts 888,426 ceramic poppies placed around The Tower in London. One poppy for ever soldier lost in that war, the war to end all wars. Of course it didn’t and the wars continue. But on this day we stop to remember lives lost – as recently as last week. Evil continues. Those who would threaten life – and freedom – the war continues.
The display is called Blood Swept Lands And Seas of Red and is designed by Paul Cummins. A fine tribute.
