We will remember

This wonderful tribute to UK troops who gave their lives during World War I counts 888,426 ceramic poppies placed around The Tower in London.  One poppy for ever soldier lost in that war, the war to end all wars.  Of course it didn’t and the wars continue.  But on this day we stop to remember…

Eleven years later

Eleven years ago we said good-bye to my Dad as he left this earth.  The promise he claimed and we believe was his was realized on that day in a glad welcome home to heaven.  Some will find thinking of heaven as home as strange – isn’t this home?  Isn’t the place with loved ones…

Remember when?

Sunday has certainly changed for us over the past five years.  When we were corps officers – pastors – Sunday morning was filled with tension, anticipation, energy, a list to be checked off that seemed to begin as soon as our feet hit the floor to the time our heads hit the pillow at night….
