Last night I found myself in Alexandria, Virgina for meetings at National Headquarters over the next two days. The hotel is not far from the Ronald Reagan National Aiport and thus the Potomac River. I took a walk along King Street, a very quaint area for restaurants and shops. Suddenly the police arrived and blocked off the street near the river…turns out the tide was in and the river was spilling on to King Street…the baristas at Starbucks were out sand bagging the store! People were walking through the water, shoes in hand, pants rolled up to get to their cars.
Walking back to the hotel the moon shone bright and planes were coming out of the airport – in this photo you can see the area of the hotel, the full moon and a plane travelling across the sky – see the dots on the streaks of light – that’s the pulsing lights under the wings as it passes by.
I’m looking forward to our meetings here.
