I’ve been reviewing some of the video I have on file that I have never done anything with. Here’s one from the summer of 2008 – actually shot on June 11, 2008 it was about 5 degrees in Iqaluit. You can see that the ice is still on Frobisher Bay but the snow was gone. We went down by the water and there were many sled dogs out on the ice, chained to spikes. The dogs are used to take the hunters out by the edge of the water for hunting.
There is only one paved road in Iqaluit so when the snow melts it is quite a dusty town.
