Tonight I’m watching the “live feed” of the rescue of the Chilean miners. From what I see on Twitter the world is watching! The sense I get from this is almost like the night, in July of 1969, while lying on a bed in a hotel room in Syracuse NY we watched man land on the moon. That night we watched history being made, and tonight again history is being made.
This unique mine rescue has included a Canadian drilling team, NASA medical direction and a host of Chilean politicians, engineers and medical crews.
When the first miner steps out of that capsule perhaps he’ll say: “One small step for man, one giant leap for minekind”!
