Is there a more powerful passage of Scripture that reveals the nature of the Risen Christ and His relationship withus, with you? And it ends with this statement of the two men who walked the road and who Jesus approached.

³² They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” ³³ And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them, ³⁴ who said, “The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter.”

In this post-Easter season, I am reminded again and again that Christ’s death on the cross is not the end of the story and that we ARE People of The Resurrection!
