Heresy gets an office

on

When DJT came into office for his second term as President, he created a White House Faith office. It was a nod to the white evangelicals who had worked to bring him back to power. It has to be said, that they clearly were comfortable with the idea of a convicted felon, who had tried to overturn the 2020 election or they were in complete denial. I see no other option. This man who has taken the world into another war that has the potential to continue to escalate and draw other nations into it.

But this past weekend’s events out of the White House Faith office cannot go without comment. Pastor Paula White-Cain,, who is touted as a spiritual advisor compared DJT to Jesus. Cain, a multi-millionaire and one accused of being a “false prophet,” was accused of sacrilege by many Christian leaders following her comments. I cannot agree more.

“You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us. But it didn’t end there for Him, and it didn’t end there for you,” said Cain.

On such a high and holy day for the Christian calendar, her comments simply cannot be dismissed as some kind of cultish rhetoric, though that clearly is true. The theology represented in her comments smell of idolatry and heresy. It also is a bellwether for the kind of perversion of faith that has invaded the White House.

Take also this page from the White House website. Fully cultish, fully corrupt. In the midst of war, inflation, division and hatred the Trump effect is incorrectly described.

How America is going to come out of this time of division and disruption will come into focus in the years to come. But one thing is for sure, the damage to the relationships within the political parties and to the allies of what was once a great country will likely either never be returned to normal or will take many, many years.

The Trump effect? Tragedy!
