Back to Bullocks

If you know Yellowknife, you know Bullocks Bistro. It’s a must-try if you’re in the area. You must like fish, of course, and you must be hungry. My piece of Slave Lake Cod was huge tonight – and the fries are the kind you have to love – fresh cut potatoes done just right!

Todd was with me as we were working, and since he had never been here before, it seemed like the right place to go. We both leave Yellowknife now, and this was our last chance.

Bullocks is unusual in that you are able, are encouraged to leave some mark, some remembrance on the wall. And most do!

It’s not a big place, and the line up was long when we arrived – but we had a table reserved – thank you, Tony! I’ve been all over North America during the past 25 years, and I have felt privileged to have these opportunities. I will miss the adventure but not the travel.

The image below was on the wall inside Bullocks! In a time when there’s a war within many borders about who belongs and who does not, this seems timely.
